This two day course is recommended for any one involved in
water and marine rescue or safety management of regattas and
water sports events.
Entry qualification
is a Level 2 certificate.
A Marine VHF Certificate and a First Aid Certificate ,
while not absolutely necessary, are desirable.

This course can be run for a minimum
of 3 and a maximum of 6 students. Course structure: The first
half of day one is a lecture module covering Rescue Management,
Mark laying and the theory of different types of Rescue such
as rescuing swimmers, dinghies, power boats, canoes and kayaks.

Lee shore rescue
and sector search are also covered. The next day and a
half is spent on putting this theory into practice on
the water.

The emphasis is very much on developing
teamwork and improving skills and drills through a variety
of challenging exercises.
